C1 Level – Advanced

At C1 level, you will learn to communicate fluently, accurately and confidently in a wide range of situations. You will be able to understand longer and more demanding texts, follow complex conversations and recognise implied meanings.

You will also practise using Greek for professional, academic and social purposes. In addition, you will expand your vocabulary and learn more precise ways to express your ideas.

Lessons at this level focus on advanced grammar, authentic texts, listening activities and discussions on a variety of topics. You may work with articles, interviews, videos, literature and other real-life material.

You will practise expressing opinions, explaining arguments and discussing more abstract ideas. You will also learn how to adapt your language depending on the situation and the person you are speaking to.

At the same time, you will continue improving your grammatical accuracy. This includes using more complex sentence structures, advanced verb forms and a wider range of expressions.

Another important goal at C1 level is to make your Greek sound more natural. Therefore, you will work on vocabulary, collocations, common expressions and the way native speakers organise their speech.

By the end of this level, you should feel much more comfortable participating in longer conversations, understanding authentic spoken Greek and expressing your ideas in detail.

C2 Level – Proficiency

At C2 level, you will work towards using Greek with a very high level of fluency, accuracy and flexibility.

You will practise understanding almost everything you hear or read, including complex texts, interviews, lectures and authentic spoken Greek. You will also learn to recognise subtle differences in meaning, tone and style.

At this level, you will develop your ability to express complex ideas clearly and naturally. You will work on advanced vocabulary, idiomatic expressions and sophisticated grammatical structures.

You will also practise producing detailed spoken and written responses on complex topics. These may include society, culture, education, politics, literature and professional communication.

Lessons will help you improve your ability to organise arguments and present ideas in a clear and structured way. You will also practise summarising information, comparing different viewpoints and explaining complex concepts.

In addition, you will work on register and style. This means learning how to use Greek differently in formal, informal, academic and professional situations.

You may also explore more advanced cultural and linguistic aspects of Greek. For example, lessons can include idioms, humour, figurative language and expressions that are common among native speakers.

The aim is to help you use Greek confidently and naturally, even in demanding academic, professional or social situations.

By the end of C2 level, you should be able to communicate with a very high degree of independence and precision. You should also be able to understand complex language and express yourself clearly on a wide variety of subjects.
