Description

For Ages 6–12

A1 Level – Beginner

At A1 level, children take their first steps in Greek in a friendly and supportive environment. The main goal is to help them feel comfortable with the language and start using simple Greek from the beginning.

Children will learn basic vocabulary connected with familiar topics such as family, school, colours, numbers, food, animals, hobbies and everyday activities. They will also practise introducing themselves and talking about simple things from their daily life.

Lessons include speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. Grammar is introduced gradually and always through clear examples. Children will learn how to build simple sentences, ask basic questions and understand common expressions.

We also use age-appropriate materials, pictures, games and interactive activities. This helps children stay interested and practise Greek in an enjoyable way.

Pronunciation is another important part of the course. Children will become familiar with the sounds of Greek and learn to read simple words and sentences with greater confidence.

By the end of A1 level, students should be able to understand and use common everyday expressions. They will also be able to introduce themselves, give basic personal information and communicate in simple situations.

Our aim is to make their first experience with Greek positive and motivating while building a strong foundation for the next level.

A2 Level – Elementary

At A2 level, children continue developing the Greek they already know and become more independent in everyday communication.

They will learn how to talk in more detail about family, school, hobbies, holidays, daily routines and familiar experiences. In addition, they will expand their vocabulary and begin to use a wider range of sentences.

Children will practise understanding short conversations, texts and instructions. They will also work on asking and answering questions more naturally.

Grammar becomes slightly more advanced at this level. Students will practise common verb forms, basic past and future expressions, adjectives and other important structures. However, grammar is always connected with practical communication.

Lessons continue to include games, pictures, stories, short texts and interactive activities. These help children use new vocabulary and grammar in context.

At A2 level, children also work more on reading and writing. They may practise short descriptions, messages or simple texts based on topics they already know.

By the end of this level, students should be able to communicate in simple everyday situations with greater confidence. They should also understand common expressions related to family, shopping, travel, directions and other familiar topics.

The goal is to help children move beyond very basic Greek and start expressing themselves more freely while continuing to enjoy the learning process.
