Duration: 50 minutes

Description

For Ages 6–12

B1 Level – Intermediate

At B1 level, children begin to communicate with greater confidence and independence in Greek. They can already understand and use basic Greek, so the aim is to help them express themselves in more detail.

Students will learn how to talk about school, family, hobbies, holidays, friendships and everyday experiences. They will also practise describing events, giving opinions and explaining simple ideas.

Lessons include speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. Children will work with longer texts and conversations while gradually expanding their vocabulary.

Grammar also becomes more important at this level. Students will practise different verb tenses, pronouns, adjectives and more complex sentence structures. However, grammar is always connected with real communication.

In addition, children will improve their listening skills through natural dialogues and age-appropriate material. They will learn how to understand the main ideas of conversations, stories and short texts.

Speaking practice remains a key part of the course. Children will take part in discussions, role plays and interactive activities that encourage them to use Greek more naturally.

By the end of B1 level, students should be able to communicate in many familiar situations, describe experiences and express simple opinions with greater confidence.

B2 Level – Upper Intermediate

At B2 level, children develop a stronger and more natural command of Greek. They learn how to express ideas more clearly and understand a wider range of spoken and written language.

Students will practise discussing familiar and less familiar topics. They will also learn how to explain opinions, compare ideas and describe experiences in greater detail.

Vocabulary becomes richer at this level. Children will work with more advanced words and expressions connected with school, society, culture, travel, technology and everyday life.

Grammar practice also continues. Students will work on more complex structures and improve their accuracy when speaking and writing.

Listening activities become more challenging and include longer conversations and more natural spoken Greek. This helps children become more comfortable when communicating with native Greek speakers.

Reading and writing skills are also developed further. Students may work with articles, short stories and age-appropriate texts. They will also practise writing descriptions, short messages and structured paragraphs.

By the end of B2 level, children should be able to communicate more independently and participate in longer conversations. They should also be able to understand the main ideas of more complex texts and express their thoughts with greater detail and confidence.
