Private Lessons

Duration: 55 minutes

Description

For Ages 6–12

C1 Level – Advanced

At C1 level, children develop a much stronger and more confident command of Greek. They learn how to understand longer texts, follow more complex conversations and express their ideas in greater detail.

Students will practise discussing a wider range of topics, including school, culture, society, travel, technology and everyday life. They will also learn how to explain opinions, compare ideas and support their answers with more detail.

Vocabulary becomes increasingly important at this stage. Children will work with more advanced words, expressions and common phrases that help their Greek sound more natural.

Grammar also becomes more demanding. Students will practise complex sentence structures, advanced verb forms and more precise ways of expressing time, cause, contrast and opinion. However, grammar always remains connected with real communication.

Listening activities include longer dialogues, stories and more natural spoken Greek. Children will learn how to understand the main ideas as well as important details.

Reading and writing skills also develop further. Students may work with articles, short stories and other age-appropriate texts. They will practise writing organised paragraphs, descriptions and short opinion-based texts.

By the end of C1 level, children should be able to communicate fluently in many situations and express themselves with greater accuracy and confidence.

C2 Level – Proficiency

At C2 level, children work towards using Greek with a very high level of fluency, accuracy and independence.

Students will practise understanding complex spoken and written Greek, including longer conversations, authentic texts and more demanding vocabulary.

They will also learn to recognise differences in meaning, tone and style. This helps them choose language that is appropriate for different situations.

At this level, students develop a richer vocabulary and learn more idiomatic expressions. They will also practise more sophisticated grammatical structures and more natural ways of expressing ideas.

Speaking activities include longer discussions, presentations and opinion-based tasks. Students will learn how to explain complex ideas clearly and respond more naturally during conversations.

Reading and writing become more advanced as well. Children may work with literature, cultural topics, articles and structured writing tasks.

The aim is to help students become highly independent users of Greek. By the end of C2 level, they should be able to communicate confidently in academic, social and everyday situations.
